The National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Anthony Inglis, make their debut at Bowood to celebrate British music from across the home nations. They will be joined by Classical Brit Award winning Welsh male vocal group Only Men Aloud, Soprano Philippa Healey, Home Counties Pipes and Drums and The Great British Prom Choir Competition Winners Soul'd As Seen. The evening will be packed with performances of Proms favourites, closing with a spectacular firework display.

PROGRAMME
5:00 pm - Gates open 7:30 pm The National Symphony Orchestra are joined on stage by Welsh male voice choir Only Men Aloud, Soprano Philippa Healey and a traditional piped band for a musical tour through the home nations. Beginning in England with the Dam Busters March and I Vow To Thee My Country, we then move to Ireland for an Irish Dance (Toss the Feathers) and Danny Boy. In Wales, we will hear Bread of Heaven and Calon Lan, finishing in Scotland with the Skyboat Song, Scotland The Brave and Flower of Scotland. 8:30 pm - Interval 9:00 pm Including further iconic tracks such as Swing Low Sweet Chariot, You’ll Never Walk Alone and a selection from one of the most loved British musicals, Oliver. We will conclude with traditional Proms favourites and a spectacular firework display. 10:00 pm - Concert finishes |
